TOUR Logistics

Spend a relaxing hour on Block Island’s famous Great Salt Pond aboard an historic 26-ft. Oldport Launch as we tour the Pond and learn about local history, folklore, and the ecology of Block Island. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 am at BIMI.

Block Island Maritime Institute

The Block Island Maritime Institute is the ideal setting for your environmental education fields trip. Indoor and outdoor programs are available during the summer.  We can meet the needs of almost any group size or budget.

With a wide variety of topics, habitats and programs, your visit the Block Island Maritime Institute will prove to be an exciting educational experience that students and group members will remember for years to come.
